Application

HSS Fully Ground step drills are made from high speed steel. Full grinding during the production process results in a very sharp drill with high precision. The accurate splitpoint ensures it is self-centering and will make the holes without vibration. The step drill also deburrs in one single operation. In combination with cutting oil this will result in a very long tool life. The tri-shank optimizes grip in the chuck and prevents the drill from slipping. Very suitable to use in plastics and unalloyed sheet steels up to 3mm. Often used in cable trays and bodywork. Also suitable for enlarging existing holes.
